Production with Pioneer Concrete(Pretoria West), Citimix (Durban), Ready Mixed Concrete now La Farge (Durban and Pietermaritzburg), Co-founder and Director of Maritzburg Mixed concrete, also involved with Alpha (Ottawa), Holcim (Durban) and Afrisam. Overseeing four Ready Mixed concrete operations between Pietermaritzburg, Umlaas Road, Phoenix and Ottawa and holding various production positions.
He was directly involved in the construction of Spring Grove Dam, was responsible for the production and supply of all Ready Mixed Concrete and Roller Compacted Concrete supplied to the construction of the Spring Grove Dam. Controlled 2 batching operations at this site to meet volumes of 800m3+ per shift. Qualified in the Concrete technical and Production field, Qualifications include (Institute of Concrete Technology) Concrete Technology and Construction (SCT42). Andy’s extensive knowledge, expertise and passion for concrete manufacture gave him the drive to establish CEMCON.
